Our company focuses on hauls that are mostly flatbed or dry vans. You can expect to be home daily allowing you to make the money you desire and still be able to give your family the quality time they deserve. Driver will be offered dedicated routes with a specific load count and pay. Over the road drivers will be offered the same benefits.
No. All drivers are considered independent contractors who will be presented with a written agreement which will be binding to both parties. While drivers are contracted 1099 they will be treated as if they were employees when it comes to the respect of compliance with the DOT and FMCSA regulatory issues.
Yes. Whether a driver is an employee or independent contracted driver, they will all be bound to adhere to company policies and procedures while under contractual obligation. In particular any policy or procedure that is in place to observe FMCSA, DOT or other compliance regulation from any agency will be observed while under contracted employment with J&O Transport, Inc.
As an independent driver you will be responsible for certain benefits such as health insurance coverage. However, to facilitate special rates we will work with you in helping get situated with benefits that offer special rates or group costs. Please speak with the Human Resource officer for more assistance.
